We will be starting the weekend off with a bonfireat Heard Scout Pueblo on Friday, November 6th. There will also be an awesome guest speaker, lots of fun activities, food, and music. For directions to Heard Scout Pueblo, click here.
Then, after breakfast at the Stake Center on Saturday, November 7th, we will be doing a multi-faceted service project at
Crockett Elementary School. Basically, you, the youth of Tempe South Stake, will be teaching all sorts of skills classes to the students of Crockett Elementary. These classes will include subjects like: Arts (Painting - Mural, Painting - Decorative Tiles, Theatre, Voice, and Music), Education (Animal Care, Computer Skills, Gardening, Reading, and Creative Writing), and Athletics (Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Relay Races, and Dance). Sign-up sheets will be passed around in your wards for you to decide which activity you would like to help with. If you are not particularly interested in any of these areas, we would love for you to be a group leader, and help those students at Crockett enjoy a wonderful day!
Check out what our mural at the Crockett School will look like when we are all finished!
After the skills classes, we will be hosting a Carnival at the Crockett School. This is going to be a very fun event for everyone!
We will conclude the weekend with a fireside at the Stake Center on Sunday, November 8th. We certainly hope you will make this event a priority. It is one not to be missed.
In the meantime, make sure you submit your entry for our T-Shirt Design contest!
